I’m an IT manager by day and bend words to my will by night. Or so I like to claim. Usually the words have the upper hand.
Because of my sedentary jobs, my backside and my chairs are BFFs. So much so, that my backside has made it a mission to start resembling its favorite chair.
This, of course, is unacceptable to me; I used to run 26 miles for fun. Now between work, writing, teenagers, family obligations and a beagle with delusions of grandeur, I’m usually too tired to even drink straight from the milk carton, let alone prepare and cook healthy meals or workout.
But I’m on a mission and my backside is going to have a fight on its hands.
I’m going to find a way to fit a healthy, active lifestyle into my day and I hope that while I’m sharing my journey with you, I’ll inspire you to do the same. And maybe join me on the road to a healthy life.
After all, a journey shared is a journey enjoyed, right?
So you can expect to find me sharing my thoughts on workouts, foods, books, websites and products* that I’m using. And probably pictures of my Beagle. It’s highly likely that I have more pictures of him than I do of my kids at this point. I also hope to have guest posts from others in various stages of their own fitness journey.
And at any time during all of this, I’m more than happy to help you find your own way.
